Meat worker seriously injured after pressure cooker explosion

A man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after a pressure cooker exploded at a meat processing plant in the north of Tasmania.

Emergency services were called to the Tasmanian Quality Meats building shortly after 6:00pm 21 March 2014.

They found a 59-year-old man severely burnt.

He was taken to the Launceston General Hospital and came out of surgery early Saturday morning.
