JBS Brooklyn - Permission to take protected action

Members voted for the to AMIEU apply for a protected action ballot to be conducted with the Fair Work Commission for a at the JBS Brooklyn site after EBA negotiations are nearing an end.

On 31 July 2014 the Commission Ruled in favour of the AMIEU, despite JBS opposing our application and stating that they believe the Union are not genuinely trying to reach agreement, which is an outrageous statement which the commission did not even believe.

On Thursday 14/08/14 the Electoral commission will be conducting the ballot, and AMIEU Organiser Jarrod Jones will be at the poll scrutineering the ballot.

Members are encouraged to VOTE YES TO ALL QUESTIONS which is important in order to keep all of our options open.
