Following on from previous newsletters and meetings with AMIEU members and the Company, the following EBA proposals are being put forward by the AMIEU:

1. Wage increase 3% first year, 3.5% second year,  3.5% third year.
2. 3 year agreement.
3. 17½% leave loading.
4. Income protection insurance.
5. D Grade for first 3 months as probation period only.
6. Base 21 pigs in boning room.
7. Agreed ratio of casual to full time.
8. All boners/slicers and slaughts on a.m. shifts to be made full time regular daily hire, and a percentage of  a.m./ shift labourers made full time regular daily hire upon signing of agreement.
9. 6 hours guaranteed minimum day’s pay for p.m. shift workers when required to work on any day.
10. Streamline process for employees to be made full time.  Consultative Committee to be involved in the selection criteria.
11. Slow down chain speed or increase manning levels.  260 per hour too fast.  Consultative Committee to be involved in setting of chain speed and manning levels.
12. Adopt AMIEU Alcohol & Other Drugs Policy.
13. Personal leave able to be cashed out once a year in accordance with Fair Work Act 2009.
14. Overtime when worked calculated on a daily basis and paid on a weekly basis.
15. Pro-rata Long Service Leave after 7 years service, including time worked as a casual.
16. Consultative Committee arrangements to be included in EBA.
